To use this home remedy, use a clean cotton swab and dip it in honey, apply to the affected area and leave on for one hour. For added effectiveness you can also mix in a tablespoon of lemon juice.

Toothpaste is known as one of the top pimple remedies. Applying toothpaste directly to the pimple as a form of acne spot treatment will show you immediate results. Simply dab a small amount of toothpaste onto the blemish, leaving it on overnight. The toothpaste will dry out the pimple during the night and you should notice impressive results in the AM.

Using steam to treat acne can also be an effective treatment option. Steam is great for your skin and helps to open up pores, allowing skin to breathe. It will also help to get rid of bacteria and oily build-up. To use this remedy, boil a pot of hot water and allow the steam to come into contact with your face for ten to fifteen minutes. Pat your face dry. You should see a visible improvement within minutes in the form of decreased redness and swelling.
